2008
State Home School Convention
Message From The President

Chris
Christian
On
behalf of the Board of Directors of CHEF of Alabama, I would like to
invite you to attend and benefit from a very exciting 2008 CHEF of Alabama
State
Convention.
We have assembled a variety of
workshop topics by national and statewide seasoned veterans of the
home school movement. In
addition to the great keynote addresses that are centered around our
theme of “Discipling The Next Generation", we are offering
several workshop tracks that are sure to assist and encourage both
the veteran and the new home school parents in their pursuit of
excellence in
Christian
home education.
Home
education gives
us the best opportunity to effectively pass the baton to our children
and assure that tomorrow's Christian leaders are well trained to
carry that baton. It is not the responsibility of the public
schools, the private schools, or the church to train or educate our
children. God has clearly given parents that
responsibility. This Convention will be designed to encourage
and exhort parents to diligently disciple and mentor their children.
In addition to offering multiple excellent workshop tracks, this
year we are scheduling workshops to allow for
ample shopping time in our Exhibition Hall.
Adjacent to their booths, selected vendors will conduct workshops on
their curriculum at various times of the day. We
believe you will find the Vendor Hall to be rich with resource
information and very helpful in your curriculum selection for
the upcoming year.
We hope that you will find the 2008 CHEF of
Alabama
Convention to be
both beneficial and encouraging.
The training of our children is an awesome
responsibility and an ordained calling given to us by God (Deut. 6: 6-9).
Please take advantage of this opportunity to receive
exhortation, encouragement, and assistance with your home school resource
selection at the 2008 CHEF Convention.
