Paul Downer earned his B.S. in Business and a B.A. in Bible at Bryan College in 2007. He is currently focusing his time, energy, and giftedness on the work of God's Kingdom through DNA Ministries. Paul has been reminded repeatedly this year by God that there is nothing more eternally significant or satisfying than simply obeying, honoring, and pursuing Him with every part of his life, and discipling others to pursue this same passion. He is praying two verses that are on his heart: "I cry to God Most High, to God who will fulfill His purposes for me." "I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter, and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things You do!" (Psalm 57:2 & Psalm 73:28)

This session addresses the vital topics of resolving conflicts with your teenager, opening lines of communication, understanding the barriers that he or she is putting between you, becoming your teenager’s favorite life-coach, addressing negative influences in your teenager’s life without getting pushed away, understanding what your teenager wants most (despite appearances), balancing the growth of freedom and responsibility in your teenager's life, maintaining consequences without being controlling, and helping your teenager live for the favor and pleasure of God more than man.
