Sharon Hubbard is the Administrative Assistant for CHEF of Alabama and along with her husband, Paul, has served on CHEF's Board for seven years.  A pastor's wife, a speaker, and Bible Study teacher for 30 plus years she has powerfully encouraged and uplifted those she has come in contact with to love and follow Christ with passion and purpose.  Sharon believes that living life out loud for Christ impacts the next generations more powerfully than the spoken word.  The Hubbards have homeschool experience of more than eighteen years.  She is mother to Stephanie, Christopher, and Matthew.

Mirror Mirror On The Wall: Who's The Best Discipler Of All?

There is no greater call in the life of parents than to disciple their own children, but are we intentionally and effectively discipling them?  Do we take hold of every opportunity to guide them towards godliness?  Are we failing, by example, to steer them towards the very heart of God? George Barna reports that by the time a child reaches age thirteen, most of his/her core values have been formed and will change very little from that point.  He also reports that just one in twenty families have any spiritual connection with their children outside of church. As Christ, the greatest discipler of all, personally and purposefully mentors and coaches us, so we must in turn personally and purposefully mentor and coach our children.
