What was the turning point in the War Between the States? Most historians identify it as July 2, 1863 , the second day of the Battle of Gettysburg. Follow the events that transpired that day as Bob Farewell--in uniform--portrays an aging Confederate private who survived the battle of Little Round Top. Ignite your family's passion for learning by studying Living History. Suitable for all ages.

Creating a Lifestyle of Learning:  Using Real Books and Real Life Experiences in Your Homeschool

Get out of the educational box! Far too often we think of homeschooling as merely a way to teach our children academic subjects; however, it is so much more than that! A Lifestyle of Learning--using every day's teachable moments as the springboard for your children's education--is child-oriented, parent-encouraged, and Holy Spirit-inspired.

Workshops by Tina:

If This Is Homeschooling, Why Am I Always in the Van?

Field trips and activities can be terrific learning tools, but they sometimes get in the way of what God calls us to do. We must discern between adult peer pressure to "do everything" and God's plan for our families. The best learning takes place in a calm, peaceful environment. Tina's practical workshop helps you identify busy-ness versus effectiveness and teaches you how to de-clutter your life both inside and outside the home.

Simplicity:  A Recipe for Homeschooling Success

Multiply 7 or 8 subjects a day by 5 days a week by the number of your children, and you've got a recipe for burnout! But educating your children at home doesn't have to be complicated. Learn how to make the Bible come alive for your children, how to use the time-honored technique of copywork for language arts instruction, and how basing your studies on Living Books makes all subjects flow together naturally.

Orchestrating Your Family’s Life:  Especially for Moms

Though the essence of motherhood is self-sacrifice, and the job description changes from moment to moment, we can find balance through obedience to God's call. Tina shares how we can manage it all as we respect our husbands and love our children.

A Daughter’s Courtship, Engagement, and Marriage:  A Family Affair

When Elizabeth, the Farewells' oldest daughter, and her future husband were courting, it was truly a family affair. And when Joe asked her to marry him in the front yard at 2:00 A.M. , they were being watched from the living room with binoculars! Yes, courtship is a serious process, but we found ways to have fun as a family. Take a look at the courtship model as a God-centered and family-centered way to prepare for marriage.
